Is Neo Dead? (The Matrix Trilogy)

     Recently I watched the Matrix trilogy and after watching the final scenes  of the final installment I was left with one question, is Neo dead? The movie did not clearly state if he is dead or not and when I consulted the internet I was given nothing but theories, from normal logical theories to theories explaining that Neo is Jesus Christ (I am not joking); so I decided to give my two cents worth and write a blog post that covers this question. Throughout the final movie they kept on talking about how Agent Smith and Neo are an unbalanced equation and Smith is trying to balance it by multiplying himself, also after Smith "copied" himself into Neo, Neo erupted into a ball of blue light, fought back and destroyed Agent Smith. These are pretty much the two main facts that we need to consider, and with these facts I was able to come to the conclusion that Neo is actually dead.

     If Agent Smith and Neo are an unbalanced equation that is trying to rebalance itself than if one side of the equation is changed the same thing happens with the other side of the equation, thus giving us the idea that if Agent Smith were to die than so would Neo. Some people may disagree because Smith was multiplying but Neo was not, this is because the change in the equation is different than what you would expect, Agent Smith was multiplying himself so he can become more powerful. Every time Smith multiplied Neo became stronger, there are multiple examples of this throughout the trilogy, though a big factor is the strength difference between Neo's encounters with Agent Smith, in every encounter both Neo and Smith were stronger than before which is an act of an equation trying to balance out by multiplying each side.

     After you balance out an equation you must solve the equation, and after solving the equation you get the solution. I believe that when Agent Smith copied himself into Neo the equation final balanced out when the two sides were equal the equation started to solve itself, thus creating dramatic changes in the equation when it was being solved and creating anomalies, for example Neo and Agent smith start glowing like Christmas lights. After the equation was solved it became the solution, I am not 100% sure what it is the solution of but that's not the point, both Agent Smith and Neo were used up in the solution which took place in the Matrix and creating something else. This solution obviously did not include Agent Smith or Neo in the final result so they were probably used up in the equation and are no longer alive, thus proving that Neo is dead  but is part of the solution to the equation that he was part of.
