Is Cobb really dead? (Inception)

I recently watched the movie Inception for the first time which I found quiet choking since the movie was super popular and came out in 2010, I'm really not sure why I didn't watch it but that's besides the point. The end of the movie pretty much begged to be theorized so I decided that this would be the perfect movie to be theorized on my blog, I also know that there are theories already out their but I have not looked into them nor have done any extra Inception research besides watching the movie itself, so please be nice and I am sorry if I end up with the same theory as another person to the point of a near copy.

The entire plot line of the movie Inception is to plant an idea inside a major corporation owner so he will dissolve the family empire, and to do this you must access his dreams/subconscious and manipulate the target inside his own dreams. Cobb put together a team and planted the idea inside the targets head and than what happens gets a bit fuzzy, Cobb escapes limbo, clears his name, and reunites with his kids; in the final scene Cobb tested his totem to see if he is in a dream or in reality. The totem continued to spin until the scene was cut off and the credits began to role; in this theory I will mainly be focusing on the totem and not the events that happened throughout the movie. The totem is a check that is supposed to hold sentimental value with the owner and only the owner knows what the totem is supposed to do so they know if they are in a dream or in reality; Cobb's totem was a spin top that wasn't suppose to spin for a short period of time before falling. Cobb's also explained that limbo is a shared dream that acts like reality and people are usually convinced that limbo is actually reality, though the totem is the only way to see past it.

I believe that when Cobb released himself of the guilt of his dead wife that the limbo that he was in took a dramatic change, he told Ariadne that he still had to find Saito and get him out of limbo, he ended up finding Saito and they "escaped" limbo. Or at least Cobb thinks that he escaped limbo which would change what limbo looked like to what he wants it to look like, and if this fact is indeed correct than Cobb either died during the inception, or he died before the inception even began and created the entire event. The second option would explain why the totem worked when ever he wanted it to since he is the only one who knows the totem and the way it works, if limbo was built around his subconscious than the totem would have no effect what so ever. Either way Cobb is in limbo without knowing and is more than likely dead, I hope you enjoyed this theory of such an old film and also please tell me what you think about the ending of Inception.
