Separating Fact From Fiction In Movies (Virgin Thought)

After Watching the movie Lucy in theaters I realized a recurring pattern in the movie industry, we all know that the science in movies are false, but actually the idea that the science in the movie originated from is true. In the recently made movie "Lucy" they explained that the universe cannot be measured in a human measurement because the universe can only be measured by time, and not by any other form of human measurement. This small scientific idea in the movie is actual the theory of Universal Time, that the universe has a clock. The counter theory expresses the idea that time does not exist in the universe and is only an illusion, that "time" is actually the movements of mater and cannot be measured by time. This is the small amount of non-fictional science that the movie expresses minus that the drug in the movie is actually some sort of super methamphetamine (Speed) that is hilariously addictive. This is only one example of actual science in movies, the movie "Inception" also expresses a surprising amount of actual scientific knowledge. In the movie Inception mankind has created machines that allow people to infiltrate other peoples dreams to extract information, the machines themselves are not real but the base scientific fact/idea is the dream state. The dream state in the movie is 100% true and is called lucid dreaming, when you are dreaming and you realize that you are dreaming (which is very rare), you gain the ability to manipulate and control your dream instead of your subconscious.

All science in movies no matter the genre are based/originated from actual scientific facts or theories, even artificial gravity and hover cars. The hard part is trying to figure out what is true and what is false in the movie, usually most of science in sci-fi movies are false but sometimes you can notice where the ideas in the movie originated from. For example hover cars, these have been used in many movies over the years and are possible to make without burning the ground, this sci-fi idea may have come from magnets and how magnets work. You just have to notice the science in the movie and find the connection to today's knowledge, its easier to do in some movies than in others. I hope you enjoyed this weeks post, the second official Virgin Thought and I hope you will read some of my other posts which you can find on the blog or the "list of posts" page!

Virgin Thoughts and The Future

First I would like to say that I am sorry for the frequency of non-theory related posts, and for the fact that I have been posting a fair bit about the blog itself instead of something more interesting like TV. I have been having a hard time coming up with new posts that are interesting and also keep me motivated, so after spending a while thinking I came up with a new kind of post besides theories, I call the new kind of posts Virgin Thoughts! Funny name I know but the Virgin Thought posts will be post of my opinion on certain things and explaining different systems that are used in TV shows and Movies, for example the use of child soldiers in AOT or the advantages of drugging your entire human population. Virgin Thoughts will only occur when I am having problems with creating an interesting post about a theory or when I have something interesting to talk about (that you would also enjoy), I will probably be posting a Virgin Thought once or twice a month if I keep up with my post a week schedule. Also my post a week schedule will be maintained unless under certain circumstances, also since I am going back to school I will not have as much spare time on my hands so I am sorry if I miss a week due to the amount of school work I will have. I hope you enjoy the upcoming Virgin Thoughts and theories, so stay connected!

The Attack on Titan Military Recruitment System(Virgin Thought)

Welcome readers to the very first Virgin Thought post! This post will replace the weekly theory post but I will be talking about the much loved topic of Attack on Titan, well the military actually.... Anyways I will be explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the military recruitment system and will also give my thoughts on how it came to be.

In episode two Eren declared that once he is old enough he will sign up for the military and join the Scout Regiment, I estimated that Eren was thirteen years old when he joined the military and graduated at the age of 16. This means that the current military uses a large amount of child soldiers to fill the ranks, starting training at the age of 13 is a very affective way to brainwash the recruits and produce highly loyal soldiers who only know life in the military which would produce highly skilled and experienced soldiers by the age of 20. The military would be able to have a large amount of manpower and expendable soldiers for suicide missions, this encourages the use of espionage and deep territory scouting missions. The way that the graduation system is setup also generates a large amount of manpower, since the military police is based within the inner most walls and only the top ten recruits can join the military police, the recruits will be despite to join the military police and train their hardest so they can join the military police and get away from the fighting. This system lures people into joining the military and also produces highly skilled and professional soldiers in all three regiments, even at the expense of the top ten recruits. This system also produces a great amount of corruption and low moral for early recruits, unless of course they have someone like Eren in the group who motivates people and raises the morale of his fellow soldiers.

All in all this system is extremely powerful and now I shall explain how I believe this system came to be, during the early years of the wall everyone was probably trying to get away from the Titans and the outer walls due to stress and trauma, the morale would be low and the general population would be despite for an escape. The military would have introduced this system to have a large flood of man power who are willing to go through anything to join the military police, the military would have also been in shock after the world's known population went from 6.8 Billion to 1.2 Million so the military would be crippled and demanding more highly trained soldiers to make up for the lack of numbers. They would have introduced a recruitment system that recruited soldiers as children and trained them until they were at an expectable age for combat. These facts generated my theory and I also believe that the current recruitment system is actually a very vital part of humanity's survival and is also the most affective system for the small population of people. I hope you enjoyed my very first virgin thought and feel free to express your own thoughts and recommendations in the comments!

Is Cobb really dead? (Inception)

I recently watched the movie Inception for the first time which I found quiet choking since the movie was super popular and came out in 2010, I'm really not sure why I didn't watch it but that's besides the point. The end of the movie pretty much begged to be theorized so I decided that this would be the perfect movie to be theorized on my blog, I also know that there are theories already out their but I have not looked into them nor have done any extra Inception research besides watching the movie itself, so please be nice and I am sorry if I end up with the same theory as another person to the point of a near copy.

The entire plot line of the movie Inception is to plant an idea inside a major corporation owner so he will dissolve the family empire, and to do this you must access his dreams/subconscious and manipulate the target inside his own dreams. Cobb put together a team and planted the idea inside the targets head and than what happens gets a bit fuzzy, Cobb escapes limbo, clears his name, and reunites with his kids; in the final scene Cobb tested his totem to see if he is in a dream or in reality. The totem continued to spin until the scene was cut off and the credits began to role; in this theory I will mainly be focusing on the totem and not the events that happened throughout the movie. The totem is a check that is supposed to hold sentimental value with the owner and only the owner knows what the totem is supposed to do so they know if they are in a dream or in reality; Cobb's totem was a spin top that wasn't suppose to spin for a short period of time before falling. Cobb's also explained that limbo is a shared dream that acts like reality and people are usually convinced that limbo is actually reality, though the totem is the only way to see past it.

I believe that when Cobb released himself of the guilt of his dead wife that the limbo that he was in took a dramatic change, he told Ariadne that he still had to find Saito and get him out of limbo, he ended up finding Saito and they "escaped" limbo. Or at least Cobb thinks that he escaped limbo which would change what limbo looked like to what he wants it to look like, and if this fact is indeed correct than Cobb either died during the inception, or he died before the inception even began and created the entire event. The second option would explain why the totem worked when ever he wanted it to since he is the only one who knows the totem and the way it works, if limbo was built around his subconscious than the totem would have no effect what so ever. Either way Cobb is in limbo without knowing and is more than likely dead, I hope you enjoyed this theory of such an old film and also please tell me what you think about the ending of Inception.

The Future of A Virgin Theory

These last couple of months have been fun and I have had some time to think about the blog and the direction that I want it to go in and have come to one conclusion, this blog has a very miss leading name! When I looked up the blog on Google I found out what Virgin Theory is, hilarious but my blog does not follow the proper definition of virgin theory at all, but who cares its a hilarious name. But back to the point, after some thinking I have decided that I want my blog to be a blog about TV shows and movies, a blog that anyone can comment on and make fun of. I will try to post once a week minus special occasions and I hope that you the readers will help me develop the blog and become what you want! Also the Attack on Titan fact database that I have been developing has been put on hold for a few months because I want to cover different movies and TV shows besides Attack on Titan, but since I always go back to old topics I will still cover Attack on Titan and other TV shows. Now to some more pressing issues, I am sorry that the posts have not been very visually engaging but currently I am working on a couple of animation videos and trying to enjoy my summer, also I seem to write my posts between 1AM and 3AM which is not the best time to write theories about TV shows and movies. I hope this blog can be what you want it to be and I also hope you can give me some feedback about the blog, one last thing Happy Summer and Good Morning!

Is Neo Dead? (The Matrix Trilogy)

Recently I watched the Matrix trilogy and after watching the final scenes  of the final installment I was left with one question, is Neo dead? The movie did not clearly state if he is dead or not and when I consulted the internet I was given nothing but theories, from normal logical theories to theories explaining that Neo is Jesus Christ (I am not joking); so I decided to give my two cents worth and write a blog post that covers this question. Throughout the final movie they kept on talking about how Agent Smith and Neo are an unbalanced equation and Smith is trying to balance it by multiplying himself, also after Smith "copied" himself into Neo, Neo erupted into a ball of blue light, fought back and destroyed Agent Smith. These are pretty much the two main facts that we need to consider, and with these facts I was able to come to the conclusion that Neo is actually dead.

If Agent Smith and Neo are an unbalanced equation that is trying to rebalance itself than if one side of the equation is changed the same thing happens with the other side of the equation, thus giving us the idea that if Agent Smith were to die than so would Neo. Some people may disagree because Smith was multiplying but Neo was not, this is because the change in the equation is different than what you would expect, Agent Smith was multiplying himself so he can become more powerful. Every time Smith multiplied Neo became stronger, there are multiple examples of this throughout the trilogy, though a big factor is the strength difference between Neo's encounters with Agent Smith, in every encounter both Neo and Smith were stronger than before which is an act of an equation trying to balance out by multiplying each side.

After you balance out an equation you must solve the equation, and after solving the equation you get the solution. I believe that when Agent Smith copied himself into Neo the equation final balanced out when the two sides were equal the equation started to solve itself, thus creating dramatic changes in the equation when it was being solved and creating anomalies, for example Neo and Agent smith start glowing like Christmas lights. After the equation was solved it became the solution, I am not 100% sure what it is the solution of but that's not the point, both Agent Smith and Neo were used up in the solution which took place in the Matrix and creating something else. This solution obviously did not include Agent Smith or Neo in the final result so they were probably used up in the equation and are no longer alive, thus proving that Neo is dead  but is part of the solution to the equation that he was part of. I hope you like my theory and feel free to tell me what you think.

The Human-Titans Part 2.4 (Attack on Titan)

Almost everyone believes that the reason why Annie tried to capture Eren is because she wanted to tell him something that would change his view on pretty much everything, but very few people have actually discussed why Annie tired to capture Eren, the theory that I am about to discuss has been researched and looked at from many different angles. Throughout the first twelve episodes Annie and Riener have had a close relationship and are always together, which I found very strange, what I found even stranger was that during and after episode 12 Annie and Riener have had a growing discontent with each other. Also in episode 13 Annie did tell Riener that "she couldn't take it anymore", she either meant 1 of two things: the first is that she can't handle fighting the titans and seeing everyone die, or her conscious can't handle being part of the cause of the bloodshed that happened at Trost.

Either way Annie experienced the feeling of wanting to go rogue for what ever reason, also she has close ties with Riener and it would be difficult to pull away from his secret "organization". Thus giving her two choices if she wants to go rogue: she would either have to run away without a trace, or she would have to go to the head of the military, expose herself and everyone involved and plea for her life. Two options that would probably lead to her death, so the next best option would be to secretly tell someone who could relate to her situation, i.e. Eren. This would allow her to minimize her risk of being killed by either Riener or the military, and still be able to minimize her involvement with Riener and those who work with him, this plan of action could also save her life if worst comes to worst.

Therefore Annie's actions mimic the actions of someone wanting to go rouge, when the two titans that were being used for research were killed everyone was generally surprised. This action was probably a sudden discussion made by Annie and was completely independent without the knowledge of Riener, an independent action is a clear sign of someone wanting to go rouge or someone who demands more independence from the organization they work for. This was Annie's first action of defiance against Riener and could possibly lead to Annie having a shorter leash in the near future, afterwards Annie tries to establish contact with Eren without giving away her identity but she fails and kills 20+ soldiers from the scout regiment. Her failed attempt to make contact with Eren lead to her capture and her lose of freedom, after her failed attempt to escape she froze herself in some sort of reflective material, if she did not freeze herself she would be interrogated by the military police before being executed for her crimes. If that would not happen than Riener would either send someone to interrogate Annie than kill her afterwards, or he would do it himself, either way Annie was going rouge against Riener and wanted some sort of protection against him and the other Human-Titans that are working with him.

Annie's actions were clearly the actions of someone going rouge, and could have lead to the exposure of the other Human-Titans. Since Annie failed and killed 20+ soldiers in the process there was no way she could get away with her life, and would eventually be killed by either the military or Riener. This theory has very little research backing it and could have many, many loopholes in it, if you disagree with it or want to say your opinion than feel free to add it in the comments below!

What is in the Wall? Part:2 (Attack on Titan)

What is in the walls? Everyone has been asking themselves this question, in a previous post from months ago I gave my two cents worth, and now I think its time to ask myself this question again. All we know is that there is a Titan's face inside Wall Sina, there are many different opinions about what is in the wall, from Human-Titans to Gods (My original theory). I will be discussing my new theory/opinion but first we need to look at a couple of facts: first is that there are Human-Titans with an unknown objective, second there are regular Titans who are pretty much mindless zombies, third the face was pointing towards the center of humanity's territory not away. This final fact spawned my new theory, but first lets dissect these three facts.

In the anime we have seen four Human-Titans, and they seem to have their own secret objective that may not be in the best interest of humanity (Eren not included), this gives me the feeling that they know something that no one else knows. This may be related to why the Walls were created and what is inside the walls, also the Human-Titans never actually attempted to damage the walls and tried to keep them undamaged (besides the gate). The fact that Titans pretty much act like normal zombies is probably the most important fact for most theories about the wall, unless the Titan is an abnormal they do not run after a certain object/person and only go after the closest human, many people believe that the walls were created with Titans as supports. When you construct a wall you always dig a trench for where the wall will be placed and deep holes in the trench for where the supports are to be placed, if the builders of the wall were attacked by the titans than the titans would more than likely fall in the trenches and holes without a way of escape. The workers would than probably be two scared to remove the Titans and would build the wall with them inside, thus adding Titans to the base of the wall and the fact that they are facing inside could only be a coincidence. This is not my theory but it is something that is very likely, but the third fact is that the face is pointing inside, if a couple of gods decided to seal themselves inside a tomb than they would probably be facing towards the center of the tomb, also since the faces are pointing towards the inside it is more than likely not accidental, thus spawning my new theory/opinion.

Keeping with my theme of imprisonment the walls may also be a prison for Human-Titans, when building a prison you want to keep the prisoners in the prison and stop them from escaping, so you generally want to have the prisoners in the center of the prison and towards the center of the prison to decrease the risk of escape and also stop outsiders from successfully freeing prisoners. This falls in line with the third fact that I pointed out, also the faces may not be connected to a body, if the Titan had it's head chopped off below the nape of the neck than the Human inside the Titan would not be injured and would remain in Titan form. This would make it easy for whom ever is sealing the Human-Titans to transport the Human-Titan in their Titan form, another unrelated theory that I have is that Human-Titans can not regenerate if they do not have the space, the show never tested this theory but my guess is that Titan generation works similar to the way sodium polyacrylate rapidly expands in water, if it does not have the space to expand than it cannot expand, so if a Titan does not have the space to regenerate than the Titan will not regenerate. Anyways back on the subject the first fact that I pointed out is that the Human-Titans are not trying to damage the walls but instead are only destroying the gates, if the fact that there are Human-Titan prisoners within the walls than if you are trying to free them you would try not to injure them. If the Human-Titans (minus Eren) are trying to free the captured Human-Titans than their objective is probably to convince them to join there cause (what ever it is), freeing the captured Human-Titan would defiantly gain their support.

With the three facts that I pointed out I was able to come up with this new theory, I have an equal amount of confidence in this theory as I do with my original theory about the gods sealing themselves in the walls. I hope that you have read through my theory and feel free to tell me your opinion, the only thing that I ask is that you do not give away spoilers from the manga since some people (myself included) have not actually read it and are waiting for the second season/volume to come out.

The Human-Titans Part 2.3 (Attack on Titan)

The Armored Titan Theory
Since the first and only appearance of the Armored Titan there has been an imprint on our minds, who is the Armored Titan? Is his special ability the ability to harden himself and be immune to injury like Annie? These are both questions that everyone have been asking themselves , but without answers (unless you have read the manga or accidental stumbled upon a spoiler). Since pretty much anyone could be the Armored Titan I'm going to skip over that question in this post and go into the potential special abilities of the Armored Titan instead.

In episode 1 when the Armored Titan charged towards the gate, it was hit by a cannon shot in the middle of its run, but kept on running without breaking pace. Many people believe that the Armored Titan can harden his skin like Annie, but there were no marks of the Titan hardening its skin, also there was a "Bing" or "ting" sound when the cannon ball hit the Titan's shoulder. This sound is actually normal for the cannon ball to make when it hits a hard surface on an angle, I am assuming that the cannon ball hit the Armored Titan's shoulder on an angle due to the fact that it hit the Titan's shoulder which was constantly moving. This is not the most interesting fact of the Armored Titan, when the Armored Titan smashed through the gate it came to a stop shortly after, not only did it come to a stop but it also released a jet of flames from its mouth. This is the most important fact of the entire encounter, due to newton's three laws of motion (which was miss used in part 1 and will be fixed) it was possible for the Armored Titan to not waver from being hit with a cannon ball and be able to smash through the gate, but there is little exclamation behind why the Titan released a jet of flames.

My best guess (which is the theory that I currently believe) is that the Armored Titan was able to super charge itself to gain the speed and energy to smash through the gate, all Human-Titans are able to run and the Armored Titan was actually in a running starting position before he started his run to be able to accelerate faster. If the Armored Titan was not able to build up energy/momentum before it started running than the only exclamation for how it can smash through the wall is that Sasha is actually the Armored Titan, which is extremely unlikely since Human-Titans seem to have very similar physical traits as the person in human form. In conclusion as I have stated before the Armor Titan must be able to build up energy/power which means that it must use its mouth as an exhaust pipe to release the remaining energy, this would mean that the Armored Titan's special ability is the ability to store and expel great amounts of energy. I hope that you agree with this theory and also feel free to disagree, comment on the Theory, or expand on it in the comment section below; also feel free to express your own theories on the blog, its not just my blog its yours as well.

Who Really Killed Han? (Fast and the Furious)

Everyone loves the Fast and the Furious movies or at least the first five movies, since the series sort of got old after Fast Five, I have watched the entire series except for Fast & Furious 6 which I have read the Wikipedia storyline. Before anyone starts yelling about skipping the Fast & Furious 6, in my defense the movie trailers for the movie really turned off my desire to actually pay to watch the movie, and the review I got from my friends didn't shine any light on the movie either, so I decided to not watch the sixth installment. Feel free to complain. This isn't actually the point of the post, the actual point of the post is that apparently both Ian Shaw and Takashi/DK killed Han, which in my mind is completely insane.

Left to Right - Takashi/DK, Han, Ian Shaw

In Tokyo Drift Han was killed in a car accident while running away from Takashi who was firing a loaded gun at him, and in Fast & Furious 6 Ian Shaw killed Han, which creates a huge amount of confusion. It is nearly impossible for both people to kill Han so someone has falsely claimed to have killed Han, In Fast & Furious 6 Dominic gets word that Han was killed by Ian Shaw, but in Tokyo Drift Takashi forces Han's car (Han was in the car) to get rear-ended by another car, which flips over and explodes. Takashi may have indirectly killed Han but can still be considered the killer if the issue is taken to the court of law. With this evidence alone we can conclude that Takashi killed Han without any other fact required, but Ian Shaw may still have had a hand in the murder of Han.

The reason why Takashi attempted to kill Han is because he was told by his uncle that Han had been stealing money from his business for years, Takashi claimed that if it was true than it must be a very small amount that can't even scratch the finances of the business, but his uncle pushes him and says that he has been stealing large sums of money. This leads to an undesirable rage that can only be quenched with blood, which turns into a high speed car chase, and Han's death. In the movie Tokyo Drift Takashi's uncle is a member of the Yakuza, which is a huge Japanese criminal empire that has an uncanny reputation for being your worst nightmare. Since Ian Shaw seems to be a very well connected criminal with a huge intelligence he probably has probably developed a relationship with a few members of the Yakuza, he could of learned that Han was currently living in Tokyo and called in a favor with Takashi's uncle who then could manipulate Takashi to kill Han. This is actually a very common and deceive way to kill your enemy and has been used many times throughout history. If this technique was used than it would be true that Takashi killed Han, and that Ian Shaw is also responsible for the death of Han. I hope you enjoyed this theory because I did since it is a nice change from the Attack on Titan theories that I have been making.
